Recipe: Crock Pot Beef Stew

  • Serves 6
  • 2 lbs beef chuck or stew meat, cut into ½ inch cubes
  • ¼ c. flour
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 ½ c. beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 3 red potatoes, diced
  • 1 onions, chopped
  • 2 stalk celery, sliced

Preparation

  1. Place meat in crock pot
  2. Mix flour, salt/pepper and pour over meat; stir to coat meat with flour.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix well.
  4. Cover and cook on low (200 deg) for 10 – 12 hrs, or high (300 deg) for 4 – 6 hrs.
  5. Stir stew thoroughly before serving.
